Old Ecolink Zwave Sensors compatible?

Are the old Ecolink DW-ZWAVE2 not compatible with Hubitat C8? I can get the DW-ZAVE2.5 contact sensors to work but not the DW-ZWAVE2 (with the Red LED's). The the DW-ZWAVE2's are set as Generic Contact Sensors and just show question marks on the dashboard, never changing to open/close. I really don't want to buy new sensors if I don't have to.

If you manually changed the driver to "Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor", be sure to push Configure on the device page.

While I don't have those specific contact sensors, I have several old GoControl z-wave contact sensors, so I think it is very likely your sensors will work.

I changed the driver to "Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor" pushed Configure on the device page but no change. I have 2 of these and neither one is still not working. I will keep trying things.

But do they work from the device settings page? The upper right corner of that page should show States, and those should reflect the sensor status.

Did you recently pair these, and they quit working?
Were they new sensors or were they paired with another Hub before Hubitat?

I have some of the old Ecolink sensors and they are working fine on my C8.

Edit: Just went and looked although the last time I bought an ecolink was in 2017. Some were 2.5 and some were 2.0. I am pretty sure I have them all working on my C8 but I will need to verify.

You'll need to wake them up to configure them. Open the case (opens the tamper switch) and it will stay awake to receive data. Then press configure.

So I found my orders and I have 2 of the 2.0s and 2 of the 2.5s. It just so happens that two of the Eco links were migrated over from a C5, one was a 2.0 and one was a 2.5. The other two were paired to the C8 after migration. So both version should work.

I do seem to remember having some issues pairing the eco links. Whether it was the 2.0 or 2.5 I don't know but I think in two cases I could not get the unit to pair and ended up removing the battery letting it sit over night. I then came back the next day and it paired right up.

The 2.0 are zwave. The 2.5 are zwave plus.

I got them to work. I think pressing the Configure button was the trick and then having the device physically go from an open/close state. These were from a Vera Hub setup from before as well and had to unpair them from that. I've only had the Hubitat for a few hours and am still figuring things out. Thank you.

Most battery powered devices are asleep most of the time. So it takes an open/close or tamper event to wake them up so they can then receive the new configuration from the hub.
