Null Error bug for Sylvania Dimmer Switch

Hi Bruce,

Brand new to Hubitat and Rule Machine but I think I've maybe discovered a bug. I tired multiple time to set up the Sylvania Lightify Dimmer Switch in Rule Machine. I was trying to setup all six of the button actions; pushed (up/down), held (up/down) and released (up/down). When I tried to set each of the six button actions one at a time Rule Machine would work correctly through the first five buttons being defined. But, after defining the 5th one each time the button number box would disappear and I'd get a Null Error message box and screen. The result being I could never add the sixth button position and when you opened the edit/delete pulldown menus there was a null entry check box listed. After that, I'd get repeated Null Error message screens. I tried it numerous times (saving after each button, saving after a couple of buttons, waiting to save until after the 5th one and changing the order of what button actions) but I encountered the same null error every time (e.g. after defining the 5th button). I did get it to work (see screen shot) by using the option to set multiple buttons with the same command simultaneously. I Hope this makes sense?00%20AM|690x423 Thank you for all you do!

I just created this rule with one of my Sylvania 2-Button dimmers and it worked as expected. If you go to the device page for your dimmer do all 6 functions register? I have had this happen when a button device didnā€™t configure properly. You need to wake up the device and hit configure on the device page to get all functions to show up if this is the case.

Ken, thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. The answer is yes; after installing the dimmer I verified that all six functions fired on the device screen. Then I went into Rule Machine and tried to assign an action to each of those 6 total positions. As I mentioned, the first 5 worked, no problem, but on number 6 the interface no longer had a button pull down menu box and the null error generated. I was able to get it to work setting 2 at a time x 3. So, not sure if itā€™s user error or an actual bug. At this point, If I had to bet real money, Iā€™d say it probably some form of user error that I wasnā€™t able to figure out. But again, appreciate the feedback. Iā€™m on about day 4 of this journal...LOL.
