Can anyone tell me what the Notifier app’s option “stop repeat upon next event” does exactly? Does this mean that the repeat stops after the next event from any app or device? Or does it mean that the repeat stops after the next event from the device in this notification rule?
It means the next event (of any kind) from the device(s) you have selected in the app, not any event from anything on your hub.
