Notification doesn't pick Lock Code Manager data. I added a new code to he Lock Code Manager, when I try creating a Notification for the new code it doesn't show the name there so I can not select it. How do I fix that?
@user4602 No it picks the lock data not LCM. LCM is simply for entering codes or schedules. Your notification format should look like below...
@user4602 Or if you're trying to do things on a specific lock code. (Such as one code turns on lights, but another turns on lights and music, and another turns on lights, and tv but closes garage)
Try this instead of using the Notification app.
In Rule Machine create a rule with the follolwing:
Trigger:
Lock code entered on (select your lock(s)): **Any Lock Code**
Then as your action, announce the following on whatever TTS device you are using:
%value% unlocked the %device%
If you want to add the time:
%value% unlocked the %device% at %time%
Note that %value% = the name of the code user & %device% = name of the lock used
With this rule, when any lock code is used to unlock your lock(s), it will announce (as an example):
John unlocked the Front Door Lock
or
John unlocked the Front Door Lock at 09:30pm
Did you confirm that the setCode operation worked on the lock? Meaning that the new code was actually added to the lock.
Locks are sleepy devices, so LCM will send updates to a lock when the lock wakes up and contacts the hub. Check the lock's device page on the hub to confirm that the updated code is there.
Thanks for your response.
Thank you.
