in the Notification App
When a sensor turns on I have a light that turns red. When the sensor turns off how do i place back to previous color? I made a rule to change color to white when turns off, but it would be cool if the notification app, just had a switch to put the light to previous state(color and on/off)
Both the Room Lighting (RL) and Rule Machine (RM) apps offer "Capture" and "Restore" actions. In essence, you'd use "Capture" to memorize the bulb's state, then turn it red in a subsequent step, and finally use "Restore" to return to its prior state.
If you're looking to consolidate everything into one place, consider that RM also includes a "Notification" action as well.
Here's how your complete rule might look:
Contact opens, rule triggers, devices are captured, then rule waits for contact to close before restoring devices.
