If I plug a passport SSD (or really any flash/ thumb drive) into the USB port on my router, would the files on it be available on my wifi network??
Depending on the router, but many do support that option.

Ya know, so much stuff doesn't even come with a manual anymore and you have to go online to find it, it just didn't even cross my mind to do that!

In certain combination of usb port and thumb drive it could interfere with your wifi. I had a bad experience with that.
