No Z-Wave "last message"

Why does the "water leak sensor" device not report the "last message"?

I also tried "refreshing", but the devices status hangs on "pending".

I am very concerned the device is no longer working. It has been working for the past few days, and battery was reported as 100%. Sensor is 10 feet away from the hub.

Test it with wet fingers or a damp paper towel - does it respond?

Lithium batteries can go from 100% to dead with no notice, so if no response to test, replace batteries and test again.

Generally speaking, they sleep a lot to conserve battery too.
The spit test is definitive.

When was last reboot of the hub? Device may not have checked in since the hub rebooted. Assuming that is a Zooz ZSE42 they default to a wake interval of 12hrs.

Best test is a wet paper towel and set it on top of it. I think the LED will flash if you did not turn that off, and then it should report to the hub obviously.
