No heartbeat on Lutron telnet

Hi,
I had my lutron devices working fine through Hubitat. Now It has stopped working. I dont see the heartbeat active. it says "pending" for status. I was able to ping the IP address fine through command window but through hubitat, it does not work. tried initialize too. Any tips on hw to get it connected back as all the picos dont work.
Thanks
Kim

Pull the plug on the Lutron hub, wait 20-30 seconds, and plug back in. After it comes back online go into the HE Lutron app and click done. This has happened to me once before and this fixed it for me.

You could also pull up the Lutron telnet device and click initialize to see if that fixes it. Iā€™d have logs open in another tab to view any errors.

Thankyou for the quick response, I just found a bunch of things not working. After updating the hub, the ABC controller stopped working and the hue devices stopped communicating too. I landed up deleting all apps and in the process of adding and creating from scratch. Will avoid updating the hub in future.

That's not the solution, nor was it the problem.

I have 5 hubs, three of which are production, two have the Lutron integration installed connected to two separate bridges.
During the course of release development each one of them will be updated to various engineering builds, at least three updates each.

I'm not saying that you didn't have an issue, but now that you've started over we have lost any chance of trying to prevent this from happening in the future.

Well I am still having some issues with the Hub. Before I call it an issue can I have button controller and advanced button controller app installed at the same time?
if Yes the button controller does not work. When i come to the third line "select button" and when I "click to set" the blue circle on top right keeps spinning and nothing happens.
I could also restore from previously saved backup if it is going to help debug.

Yes, no problem doing that.

Did you enter the button number in the field?, our button controller app doesn't fill them in for you, you only enter the button numbers that you expect to use.

Perfect, it works. I thought it was stuck as the blue circle was spinning and the set values only take integers. Thank you

As for the original issue the telnet to lutron does not show the current status, it is blank and at the bottom heartbeat still says pending. The pico button works though.
I plan on getting 3 Lutron hubs integrated to hubitat so I will need to learn and understand how to use it in detail.

I have three Hubs, each with it's own connection to one Lutron SmartBridgePRO. Works flawlesly. I can choose to have all, none or just a few Lutron devices known on each Hub. I only have Pico's but I can have Button Controller (or Advanced Button Controller, my favorite) on each hub and it can respond to any button push.

For example: Pico 2 can be 'defined' on each hub and in ABC, when the 3rd button of Pico 2 is pressed, or held or released, it can do a unique thing on each hub. I have no idea what marvelous thing I'd do with that, but clearly I can.

This simply indicates that the heartbeat check is pending to run in the future, it's scheduled to run every 60 seconds, you really don't need to worry about any of this.

That's interesting, Never thought of a scenario of using multiple hubitat in a single home. I have two, one still in box. Maybe time to get it online. One thing I can think of with multiple hubitats is a button pushed could do a timed sequence of operation like a bulb turns on from one hub then second hub changes color after a delay and third hub turns it off after longer delay. Wish one could do a sequence of operation with a push of button with one hub.

A single hub can do that with RM v3.0, I believe. Actions are now 'scripts' and you can have a delay 'per line' or delays between 'sections' of an Action. So the action would begin with turn on, delay, change color, delay, turn off.

In my case two are development, on is dedicated to zigbee bulbs, one is our first generation model hosting 90 percent of my environment, the other is the new model and i haven't completed migrating from old to new yet.
I won't need more than the two once migration is complete.

I tried the new RM but could not do it. I can trigger a rule from a light or switch that is ON but nothing like trigger from button #3 pushed for a switch. Also tried a generic RM to change colors with delay but could not get it to work. Wish they post more tutorials.
