No events are logging on the app settings event page. The log tab works

For all of my "Motion And Mode Lighting Apps" and "Simple Automation Rules" there are no events logged when I view the app -> settings -> Events "/installedapp/events/66" . Every single app has enable logging turned on and on the settings page the following 2 variables are set to true:

appEvents bool true
logging bool true

What is wrong? The events do show up if I go to the logs tab and look at current or past logs.

Most apps don't post events anymore, and haven't for quite some time. They log to Logs page when Logging is enabled in the app.
