I agree - a load of new features and services. It will soon be more than my old mind can comprehend. I installed the UG to my C7 and I love all the diagnostic info. I really need to start the chore of moving from my C4 to the C7. Thanks to the Hubitat Team. And the documentation is getting better organized all the time.

I would like to give a special shoutout to the staff for the Basic Rules app.

  1. I think it's simple enough for clients to understand.
  2. It's narrow, so it fits on their phones (yea!).
  3. I can convert all of the Simple Automations that I did for them to Basic Rules, and then let them maintain it themselves.
    All together - THIS IS A BIG WIN for HUBITAT!

I like the backup service that extends warranty. It's a clever idea.
Id pay the $30 for all my hubs, even the one I have in the garage that only has three door sensors on it, a lock and a switch if you'd include a free hub to current generation every 4 years of paid subscription. Protection from failure and obsolete would be interesting to me.
If I'm on year 3 when you release new hw I would pay the 4th year of service as an early upgrade fee if I didn't want to wait until year 4.

I think it's worth consideration, requires a bit more from your crm but builds loads of loyalty into the install base. Pm me off you want details, I've been part of a multi hundreds million dollar technology business that has these contracts for enterprise buyers, I can help you with how to consider the tradeoffs.
