Newbie to Zigbee lighting question

All of my lighting so far, has been controlled by Zwave switches and dimmers, and I'm pretty familiar with Z Wave operation. As my first attempt at Zigbee lighting, I bought a couple of Sengled Zigbee bulbs a few weeks ago to automate a desk lamp and my oven range hood light. No problem including them into Hubitat and setting up some on/off rules, but I have found that whether I turn off the blubs manually using the hardwired switch, or through Hubitat commands, when I try to turn them on manually again with the hardwired switch, they will come on, then go off and I have to cycle the manual switch to off then back on again to make the bulb stay on. An example for clarification...I turn the range hood light on with the switch on the hood to cook dinner. Later, "Goodnight routine" turns the bulb off. I get up at night for a drink of water, and turn the switch off, then on to get the light to come on (I can understand this) but then the light goes off again on it's own and I have to cycle the switch off and back on again to make it stay on. Is this normal...and why???

What driver are you using for these bulbs? (This is the "Type" dropdown on the device detail page.)

In general you dont want to operate smart bulbs this way it can cause problems if the bulb is a repeater and unexpected results in general.

So I guess I'll just have to go back to "old school" regular bulb in this case LOL

You could also install a button device to use as a physical off, like a Pico or Hue dimmer switch.
