Newbie Starting Advice Devices

Hi All,

Im a total Newb to Smart Home, im looking at getting the Hubitat C-8 and want to know what brands of devices are best to look at. Like light switched, sensors, bulbs etc etc etc I want to buy stuff that lasts and not just cheap rubbish. Im thinking of mainly sticking to Zigbee to start off. As ive already said im completely new to this, all i have at the moment as home is a Sonof era1 speaker and Eufy Security Cameras and doorbell which are not connected to any hub or any automations.

But which ones are quality products and which ones are cheap rubbish or are they all great?

Sorry for being a newb hahaha

Just cant wait to get into this and learn some new skills and show off to the family and friends haha
