Newbie questions on Dashboard/Device status incorrect and iOS app

Model: C-8 Pro, Platform version 2.4.0.151

Greetings to all and I appreciate your help in advance. I was a long-time Vera user but when it was time to upgrade due to glitches I recently decided to migrate to the Hubitat platform. I'm not new to home automation though I definitely have a learning curve here. A few things have come up that I cannot find in a community post search (I do try to self-help!) so here are my questions/issues:

I had no issue removing z-wave & Zigbee devices from the Vera system and adding them to my Hubitat C-8 Pro. I have created several very simple Rules -- Vera called them "Scenes" -- i.e., turning on inside lights at x minutes before sunset, and off at various times. These Rules have run perfectly since I set them up a few days ago. However, in the Dashboard and in the Devices lists, they do not show the correct current state of the device. I have 3 ZLink z-wave Plus dimmer switches and as an example, even though a light is actually off when it should be, the green bulb on indicator in the Device list and the tile in the Dashboard show them as on. Only if I toggle the device on & off using the Dashboard tile it will then display the correct current state of the device. It's as if the Device list and Dashboard aren't "polling" the device for current status when I open those views.

Next, in the iOS app v2.1.0(383) I cannot for the life of me get a Dashboard to display, I just get a blank page. I would have thought the dashboard would carry over from the website but apparently not. In the Dashboard Settings it has spaces for Current URL and Custom Dashboard URL and both are blank. Current URL seems non-editable and the custom one allows for a manual entry, but I don't know what to put there. Using the hub's URL doesn't do anything.

As an aside, the iOS app Device list also doesn't show the correct current status of my ZLink dimmers, just like the web version.

Advice & help will be appreciated!

The Z-Wave issue sounds very much like the device isnโ€™t sending its status to the hub. Z-Wave Plus devices should do this without polling, but that said, if I had this issue, I would try installing the built-in Z-Wave Poller app.

Once installed, see if your switches show up in the drop down. If they do, they likely require polling and this should fix the issue. Wonโ€™t be instantaneous since it will be polling, but much better than seeing the wrong status!

Sebastien - thank you for your suggestion on the issue with the dimmers. When I first tried the Z-Wave Poller app there was nothing in the drop-down menus. Now I'm trying a suggestion from the manufacturer/distributor (Z-Wave Products) to see if other device drivers might work better than the "Generic Z-Wave Plus Dimmer" driver that was automatically selected by Hubitat in the pairing process. I immediately noticed that when I switched the driver to the "Generic Z-Wave Dimmer" I now have the option to add that device in the Z-Wave Poller app.

Since I have 3 of these devices, I will try various drivers to see if one of the other options actually auto-polls/reports the correct status without the need for the Z-Wave Poller app -- if not, at least I assume I can use that if needed.

I like tinkering, so I will ultimately report what I discover is the best solution. Thanks again for that tip!

Almost forgot ... any thoughts why I can't see a dashboard in my iOS app? I just get a blank page and I can faintly see a wheel spinning as if it's trying to load something ...

No idea as it relates to the dashboard. I assume you are able to see this same dashboard as a web page on that same device?
