Newbie question #2

Day 2 with Hubitat.
I've been reading and searching, but can't find an answer.

How do I turn on and off "Away Mode" from my Windows Hubitat app.

I turned it on under Mode Manager, and now I can't turn it off.

To turn it On you can use Settings > Modes.
To turn it Off you can manually change to another Mode (Day etc.)

Manually Changing Mode

The Set Mode dropdown at the bottom of the Mode Manager app (which will also display the current name in parentheses after Set Mode) allows you to manually change the current mode. This can also be changed from Settings > Modes. Typically, users prefer to use one of the methods above to automate mode changes. However, the ability to manually change modes feature can be useful for testing or fixing unexpected changes.

great question ! When I first got HE - that tossed me too. I think HE confuses things with a Period and a State in the modes area.
The name Mode doesn't really work for me but it is what it is. I like to think of things as Mode Period, and Mode State.
A Mode State is more a switch for me. Home/ Away. Awake/Sleeping. Security On/Off.
Mode Periods to me are distinct times. like 'Evening - 5:30p - 10p', Late Evening - 10p - 12p'.

I rewrote the whole Modes thing for myself several years ago because of this.... Probably not what you want to hear but I offer it as you think about your implementation.
