I created my first three rules. Two of them do not turn the light off. The light turns on but never turns off. The third rule works. Any help will be appreciated.

Interesting. The logic doesn't immediately jump out as being a problem. Is your hub time showing correctly (Settings -> Hub Details)?

Thanks for responding. Yep, time is correct. Any suggestions on troubleshooting?
You can enable logging for the rules and give it a cycle to run. Post the logs up here and that may help point in the right direction.

In addition to the logs from your rules, you may also want to look through the Location Events for your hub, also available from the Logs page. It will show you when the sunset and sunrise are triggered and when they are set for the next day.

It looks like the light off command was never sent.

I canāt recall if the device will report its on/off status when it is sent from the hub or after it has been acknowledged by the device⦠if the latter, it is possible that a mesh issue is preventing the signal from reaching the device. What protocol (Z-Wave, Zigbee, Wifi) is that device using to communicate?
If the former, the rule might be corrupted and re-creating it would be a good place to start.

When I broke the rule up into two. One for "on" and the other for "off" it worked.
Is there anything special about the "wait event"?

Odd - both should have worked. The wait event will get cancelled by the rule running again, but this shouldnāt happen in your case as the trigger is a time eventā¦
