New zigbee soil moisture sensor

Anyone know whether the generic humidity diver is likely to work with these soil moisture sensors?

My wife has a bunch of plants around the house she's constantly using a handheld soil moisture probe to see if they need watering. I would love to be able to automate monitoring plant soil moisture for her.

In my opinion, the easiest way to accomplish this is to get an ecowitt GW1100 (about $25-30), and ecowitt soil moisture sensors (about $20). The system integrates locally with Hubitat, and each gateway supports up to 8 soil moisture sensors.

Here's the integration (maintained by @sburke781):

Thanks! I'll definitely look into this!

I got an ecowitt gateway earlier this year. Since then, I've found many of the available sensors to be really useful. I use the temperature/humidity sensors all over the place. Since they use 915 MHz to communicate with the gateway, they don't drop off even when they're within a metal safe with 2" thick walls.

And the soil moisture sensors are pretty accurate (they can also be calibrated). I am using two outdoors.

Thumbs up for Ecowitt. I have five soil sensors and a temperature sensor with a probe that I use to monitor the hot tub. The integration between the Ecowitt bridge and HE is all local. @sburke781 maintains it and it works flawlessly.
