I just installed an Asus ET12 router. I can't connect to the cloud and Alexa doesn't work.
I have assigned DHCP the mac and Ip addresses. What else can I do? I have reset Hub many times.
Normally at this juncture I reboot the router, and once it's back up reboot the devices connected to it if necessary.
I wish it would have. I have changed the DNS severeal times. Ip address is good. Gateway is good. I was able a few times after a soft reset and other resets from hub that the alert went away but immediately if I clicked on say apps, because I am trying to get Alexa to work, the alert came on that no cloud connection. This happened everytime. If I didn't click anything after the alert went away it was ok but as soon as I clicked...gone. I checked my subscription and it is good. Is there anyway Hubitat support can check my hub with hub id?
In the hub’s network settings page?
Or are you referring to a router setting?
I have changed in the network settings.
If your hub is configured for DHCP then you shouldn’t touch anything on the network settings page, including the DNS server settings. Your router will tell your hub which DNS server to use.
Try pushing the network reset button on the bottom of the hub again, for several seconds until the hub LED flashes.
Didn't help. I tried that several times.
Guess the east route isn't going to work.
Two ways to attack:
-
From your browser goto http://findmyhub.hubitat.com and see if yout hub is listed
-
go to the Hub's Network Setup | Network Test page and:
a) Click on Ping Gateway
b) Click on Ping Host using the default 1.1.11
c) Ping Host using cloud.hubitat.com as the destination
