When I add phones to my devices, they are appearing twice. This has happened on both Pixel 3 phones and a Samsung SM-G991U. Any idea why this happens, how to prevent it and how to identify the correct phone so the duplicate can be deleted.

Same here. I left both copies intact until someone else spoke up on the subject, which I'm glad you did. It would be nice to identify which copy we can safely delete from Devices.
When you connect your phone to the hub, do you see 2 options for phones?
Assuming there is no bug that I am not aware of:
- Delete the one that has no automations (or notifications) linked to it in the device screen
- When you connect the phone, afterwards, there should only be one phone device to select.

I have sent a test message through each device's settings page. Only the "real" one will send a message to the phone.

Sending a text message to help identify the valid phone. I have a Samsung phone that never reports its presence. I have checked for emissions and have said it to report all the time. Any thoughts?
