New Nanoleaf or Twinkly Christmas tree lights?

They are the same price. Which one is or will be easier to automate from within Hubitat? Thanks.

There's a community Govee driver for Hubitat. For Twinkly you'd need to go Home Assistant to Hubitat via HADB.

The automation ability is going to be limited for at least Twinkly. Basically limited to controlling power and choosing scenes that are not a single color. Any scene creation must be done via the Twinkly app.

It looks like the new Govee tree lights are in a rope. The Twinkly tree lights are similar to standard tree lights.

To expand on what @Bill.d said the Govee Xmas tree lights have individual pixels about 4 inches apart. The come in lengths of 33 or 66 ft. The Indvidual pixels don't have a bulb type fixture on them so they will simply generate light. between each pixel is soft flexible wire so they should be easy to place. The wire has a silver color so that may also not go well with some setups. Here is a pic of the lights so you can see the pixels and the wire.

Here it is with the reusable spindle and turned off so you can see the pixels in the photo.

Here is a pic with that same device but lit up.

The reason it seems that Govee Chose not to include traditional bulb cases to the pixels it seems is to make them easy for storage with the included spindle. It should be a piece of cake to store these after the season is over.

A word on the integration.

This Govee device is LAN API(Local) only. It can control on/off, Color Temp, Brightness, or full strip color. Because these are LAN API capable you can also use any of the 102 scenes that Govee provides, you can create your own scenes, or use govee created community scenes. DIY are required to be setup initially in the Govee Home app and then the Govee Integration app can extract them once configured.
