Took advantage of the sale and bought my new hubitat. The problem is I have to wait two more months for my house to be built so I can't even use it! What a bummer.

Not true at all 
Get a Motion Sensor and a plugin wall socket and start to Join/Pair and get a Simple and Motion lighting Rule built.
Most of what there is to learn is terminology and location of the things to click.

Yes I agree! You can get a lot of the easy stuff out of the way quickly, with a simple setup.
Yeah good point I can at least learn the system and dashboard setup. Save some time later:)
