New hub 'waiting to reboot' in diagnostic tool

I appreciate the effort, thanks. Was looking forward to not taking 5 minutes to make sure all my lights and 'things' were turned off tonight

Feels like a caveman to have to turn the lights off.

Ohh good catch. I didn't even see that, been a long day.

There's no hub process running for some reason, so it's not going to update the diagnostics tool. Let's try running this from command line:

curl -s -X POST http://192.168.1.24:8081/api/getLatest

It will say "success" very quickly, but that just means it started successfully.
Next, point your browser to http://192.168.1.24:8081/setupStatus, and that will show the real status of the download.
Yeah, this is an older version of diagnostics tool. There's a proper functioning "download latest" button now.

That is why I was hoping to get him updated, I thought it would be easier to just push the magic button and update.

Thanks for looking at this for him.

Got a response from support to factory reset; worked until I got to the 192.168.2.54:8081/setup
The response was "Update failed, please try again"

I tried first exactly as written, then all lowercase, both yielded the same failed result

Ok, have you tried to get an updated Diagnostic Tool following the factory reset?

@bobbyD or @gopher.ny, could you please up @kevinwdickerson’s posting capability? He sent me a PM, said the forum software has told him he can’t post any more because he is a new user, at his limit.

Here is what he wanted to post in this thread:

Here was my PM reply to him, and his PM response:
