I appreciate the effort, thanks. Was looking forward to not taking 5 minutes to make sure all my lights and 'things' were turned off tonight
Feels like a caveman to have to turn the lights off.
Case matters. Should be:
Ohh good catch. I didn't even see that, been a long day.
There's no hub process running for some reason, so it's not going to update the diagnostics tool. Let's try running this from command line:
curl -s -X POST http://192.168.1.24:8081/api/getLatest
It will say "success" very quickly, but that just means it started successfully.
Next, point your browser to http://192.168.1.24:8081/setupStatus, and that will show the real status of the download.
Yeah, this is an older version of diagnostics tool. There's a proper functioning "download latest" button now.
That is why I was hoping to get him updated, I thought it would be easier to just push the magic button and update.
Thanks for looking at this for him.
Got a response from support to factory reset; worked until I got to the 192.168.2.54:8081/setup
The response was "Update failed, please try again"
I tried first exactly as written, then all lowercase, both yielded the same failed result
Ok, have you tried to get an updated Diagnostic Tool following the factory reset?
@bobbyD or @gopher.ny, could you please up @kevinwdickersonβs posting capability? He sent me a PM, said the forum software has told him he canβt post any more because he is a new user, at his limit.
Here is what he wanted to post in this thread:
Here was my PM reply to him, and his PM response:
Sounds almost like the hub has changed IP. Do you have a DHCP lease reservation on your router for the hubβs IP, reserved by its MAC address?
This was the first thing I did last night when I got an IP for it. Crazy thing is, while i was waiting for a reply, I rebooted the hub in the diag tool. All of the sudden about 30 secs later I noticed that the hub became 'found' in the web browser, and now I'm up and running! I have no idea how or why, as i've tried this several times.
Glad you are now up and running! Sorry it was such a struggle. Welcome to the community!
