I just upgraded to the C-8 from a C-5 . Evrerytthing works great and I reset the c-5 and deregistered from my account .
On startup my new hub is found under registered hubs and connects . Under “Find Hubs “ the new hub is listed ..just once with an different ip address .. I believe from my old c-5
How do I remove that ?
Simply set a DHCP reservation for the new hub (dont use static on the hub itself) and it will eventually update the cloud server.
I checked network settings and is set to dhcp
Do you have a reservation for the new hub?
Sorry I don’t understand that ….
In your router, is your DHCP server. You can have a reservation in the server to issue the same ip address to a particular device so everytime that device comes on line the ip will always be the same. It's preferable to setting a static ip on the hub. You will issue the ip to the MAC address printed on the bottom of the hub.
Ok,
I went into my router and changed the Hubitat to a "Reserved IP Address" from DHCP ..correct?
So this should eventually drop that extra Hub under "find hubs" with a different IP address ?
Thanks for your help.
Update the extra hub with the different ip address only shows up on the iOS app
Not when logging thru a desktop or online?
I would just reboot your router, that should make it forget about the old hub.
Once you do that if the old hub is offline and deregistered you should not see it anymore on the site.
If you are still seeing it, post a screenshot please.
My old c -5 was .477
The 165 was the c-8 at some point I believe..
.177 is the new and it works fine
I suspect within a few days it will correct itself. Something is probably cached.
Are you sure the new hub can connect to the cloud?
You could also check this web page to see what it shows: http://findmyhub.hubitat.com/
Yes it does connect to the cloud
if 2 hubs are showing on my.hubitat.com that means another one is connecting usually
Only one is connected
Only two show up on IOS app
log out of the app then log back in
Solved my problem ..since it was IOS only I removed the app and reinstalled
Just one hub ip address now
Thanks
