New GE/Enbrighten Z-Wave 800 Series

Are there any drivers for the new 800 series 76592/76591 switches ?

You're supposed to be able to change the color of the LED in these new ones.

Use the built in "DT" drivers (either dimmer or switch). They will scan the device for settings.

Or if it has scene/button support and you want to use that then use my universal driver which also scans for the settings and other features:

Can also, probably, change colors via Rule since parameters are exposed in that driver.
But this is an 800, LR? Who knows. I wouldn't buy a bunch of 'em.
Jasco isn't still calling it the "Pro", lol?

Yes, it's this one: Amazon.com: Enbrighten 800 Series Z-Wave On/Off Toggle Switch, Long Range 800LR, Quick Fit, Simple Wire, Direct 3-Way (No Add-On Switch Needed), Smart Hub Required, Compatible with Alexa, Google Home, 76592 : Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Why the caution against buying them ? are the 800 LR ones not good?

The best device in the world is totally useless without a driver that works.

Another toggle person!

In another thread I autopsied Jasco and Zooz toggles, in my crude fashion. Jasco was more rugged I believe. The toggle actually lit up as well. I had to do a "mod" to get my Zooz toggle to display the led. When they first brought out the 800, they had visions of marketing to "Pros" only. It pissed me off. Also I don't think there's much documentation or transparency with the GE/Jascos. This is from memory.

also a paddle version and a dimmer version. anyone get one and test the driver. I'd like to swap out my older ones each by a door to use the indicator to show lock status. easy to see at night

I have a couple of the UltraPro 800-series paddle switches (not the dimmer version). The don't appear identical as mine have wires coming out of the switch instead of screw terminals. However, they support the same LED colors. They work fine for me. I'm using Jeff's Universal Z-Wave Switch driver and can easily adjust the LED as a status indicator.

Thanks for the confirmation.

ANY 800 series dimmer/switch should work on my driver. Zwave is very rigid, in order to pass certification they need to follow the standards. I believe the command classes I am using are now required for 800 series device certifications.

The only thing that would not work is extra features not supported, like if it had power reporting or some other ability my driver is not made to handle.

Switch, dimmer, associations, scene/button support, and settings should all work for any newer device.

Being able to change parameters on the fly is very useful.
