New Aqara mini switch not displaying battery level

I just paired a new Aqara mini switch which does not display any battery information. The first mini switch does display the battery information. They are both using the same driver. Any idea why no battery level display on this unit?

-Thanks

The hub can only display whatever information is provided by an end-device. With Aqara devices, this happens when the pairing isn't complete. I would reset the switch, and re-pair it to hubitat, without deleting the device on Hubitat.

If there is a "configure" or "initialize" command available on the device page those may also be worth a try. Alternatively, you could wait to see if, when the battery level drops, if that is represented in HE, assuming you have an alternate way of seeing the battery level.

Thanks. I just checked the switch in devices and now the battery level is displayed. I know battery levels are inaccurate, but I thought this might be indicative of a problem.

Thanks, it's showing now. FYI I did nothing to fix it.

Then it is likely that reading was either missed or not part of the initial comm's during the pairing / setup process, and now you are seeing the first regular reporting of the battery reading.

Thanks, that makes sense.
