just noticed that my Nest Presence Device has a lot of events logged:
2 every 7 minutes? I wouldn't call that a lot.
Yep, I forgot to say this happens every few minutes and that I have 141 pages of it
I agree it is a bug.
In general looking at the logs, the nest integration on hubitat runs a lot more than it does on ST.
It is updating your thermostat every 7 minutes? Mine updates every minute and I'm not having any problem. Are you seeing your hub hang in any way?
I have two Nest thermostats and seven Protects. Present / not present mirrors the Nest home / away status as expected. The presence device updates about once a second. Sometimes more frequently, rarely less.
So far no apparent impact on hub functionality. Not sure what should be expected.
Once a second?!? Now, that's a whole different can of worms. That seems like too many updates to me.
The issue seems to be an interaction of the streaming service and the ported nest code. The original from ST does not have this issue. My guess is during the port a few things got botched.
