Yes lots of clueless reviews on Amazon. That one specifically said lock issues right after installing the thermostat, so seemed worth to investigate. It would be an unlikely coincidence unless he was doing other changes to his network at the same time.
It used to be possible to comment and have a discussion under each review to clarify the issue, but Amazon no longer allows such discussions. I bet it's gotten too much for them to moderate all those threads.
