I'm looking for a narrow foot print door lock to replace a dead bolt. The maximum available space is 3". 1 1/2 to the center of the deadbolt. Either zigbee or z-wave is ok. I don't need a keypad on the outside.
You might look at this Amazon Key delivery lock upgrade. This works with a standard Kwikset deadbolt and there's no outside keypad. Zigbee. Says a cloud cam is required but I think that's only if you actually use it for key delivery.

I can confirm this. I have 3 of the amazon kwikset converts. They are less than 3in across and work as a zigbee lock. No amazon anything required.
The kwickset is what I used for the same reason. It fits over the deadbolt inside the door and there is nothing on the outside. The one I have is Zigbee. I would like a keypad on the front but the limited space doesn’t really allow it. I tried a ring keypad but it didn’t really work like I wanted.
I'm also using the ZigBee kwikset convert without the cloud cam. I managed to snag mine for $30 on a Woot deal. Been very solid, never drops.
