We use iCal exclusively in our household so I've resorted to using IFTTT to enable/disable Automations by adding entries to google calendar when ever a new entry to iCal is added. This works great unless I have to remove the calendar event from iCal. From what I can tell there is no way for IFTTT to remove the google calendar entry that was created if I remove the iCal entry.
Does anyone know of a way to sync the entries from iCal to Google Calendar so my google Calendar is a reflection of my iCal Calendar?
Does this make sense?
Also, I do not want to switch to any other calendar. So please do not suggest that.
This is not what I was asking for. These examples only show how to view multiple calendars within the iOS app. It doesn't sync 2 calendars. I need a way to sync google calendar with iCal so I can run automations from IFTTT. I consider myself a tech savvy person, so I do all of my research before reaching out to the community.
Here is a recap of the issue. iCal does not allow triggering of automations from the calendar to things like automator and IFTTT, so I've used IFTTT to add an entry to my google cal so I can use google to trigger my automations. The issue is I may remove a calendar entry from iCal and it doesn't get removed from google. I've found ways to subscribe to iCal but it requires the calendar to be public to get a url. (Obviously this is a security risk)
What I need is one of 3 things:
A way to remove entries from google calendar when I remove it from iCal
A way to trigger automations from iCal directly.
A way to get Automator to monitor iCal reminders on my Mac which will then send an event to HE
I figured out a way to make this work with automator on Mac OS. Basically I check every morning for new calendar events matching a certain criteria then I call an endpoint url.
