Model: Hubitat C-8
Platform version: 2.4.3.137
Issue: After every inclusion I get phantom "Unknown LR" nodes (0x011Aโ0x0127).
I cannot access /hub/zwave/radio (404) and have no option to disable Z-Wave Long Range.
Request: Please perform a Z-Wave NVR Erase and disable the LR flag on my hub.
Where did you get that endpoint? As you can see itโs not a valid one (never has been to my knowledge). Could try /hub/zwaveDetails/json but most, if not all, of the detail is on the Zwave Details screen. If you really, really, really want to wipe out the zwave radio use /hub/zwave/reset - Iโd make a cloud backup before in case you change your mind later. Note that the 800 chip will always have LR capabilities available if ZWave is enabled.
Thanks. I have tried a zwave radio reset and a full hub reset and I still have the same problem. Pages of phantom LR nodes. I have not added any of my zwave devices yet as I want to get this issue resolved first. I don't want to have to rebuild my zwave network twice.
if you click refresh does the remove button come up?
Can we assume that you removed power from the hub for about 30 seconds after doing the rest?
No it does not.
Yes. I removed power from the hub for at least 60 seconds after doing the reset. I am now getting an alert for an elevated hub load. This is a factory reset hub with nothing (zwave devices, automations, etc) installed on it.
Sounds like a look at the engineering logs may be in order: @support_team
Yep..
@dconklin please see PM
Support - any luck yet? Hub still has over 1000 ghost entries. Multiple full resets, zwave radio resets, database resets have been attempted. Power off and unplugged each time for more than 5 minutes. This is the analysis from Chat GPT:
" The Root Cause
Hubitat 2.4.3.x (especially .135โ.137) introduced a regression:
- It enabled Z-Wave Long Range by default on C-8 hubs.
- It hid the LR toggle and broke the erase-LR command in the firmware.
- Result: every time you include any Z-Wave device, the firmware spawns โUnknown LRโ nodes (0x011Aโ0x0127).
This is not user-fixable on those builds โ the LR subsystem must be toggled or cleared through the internal SDK, which only Hubitat Support can currently access."
It has been a few hours now and no more LR ghosts appear. What finally worked for me was I disabled the Z wave radio, rebooted the hub, enabled the Z wave radio and then ran a zwave exclusion. Since I did that, the ghosts are gone. Will advise if they re-appear.
The only ghosts I have in my house after Halloween are two LR ones living in my C-8. Power cycling does not remove them and there is no remove button. I guess they will be haunting my C-8 for life. I'm running 2.4.3.137 and hope Santa will bring me a fix for Christmas.
