I have a new kwikset 916 and a new hubatat and have not been successful to get the hubitat to view it. Please help. Im new to the hub process.
Is this is a Zigbee or Z-Wave lock?
You might know this already but locks should be paired as close to the hub as possible. You might need to invest in a 50ft Ethernet cable and bring the hub to the lock if you have already installed the lock.
I have a wifi range extender that I don't use anymore that has a wired port out of the bottom. I use that to move my hub without the long cable. With the price of copper I don't know which is cheaper anymore...
I have the same problem with a Kwikset 916 Z-Wave. I have tried the factory reset several times and have the hub touching the lock.
Factory reset the lock.
Then shut down the hub, remove power from it for a minute, boot back up and try again.
