Need Help for Non POE/Ethernet Camera solutions

I current have three Arlo Pro Camera that are 5 year old and would like to replace them and add a fourth. As a minimum I want the camera to integrate with Hubitat so I can turn on/off (or arm/unarm) and receive notifications with triggered. Since migrating from Smarthings intergation with Webcore, I receive notifications via IFTT as well as arm/unarm. I have various scenarios so I my wife or I are at home the front camera is active, if one person is home the other does not get notified, if all away all camera active, etc. If I could have feed to dashboard that would be fantastic. I do have a Synology NAS and if I could run Ethernet to all the cameras I would be golden, by I can’t. Suggestions?

Camect NVR and Foscam cameras

Unifi has usb powered wifi cameras as well. The G4 and G6 instant cameras are the ones in question. Not the cheapest option but would be 100% local and no subscriptions.

Do they need to be battery powered?

I use Reolink cameras (WiFi) and Scrypted NVR. They can integrate into Hubitat using webhooks or via Home Assistant.

Everything is stored locally, and the object detection/identification is local too.

No, I do not need battery powered. Do you have Unifi without a NVR?

I have a UCG-Max that runs the Unifi Protect appp.

Unifi protect runs on a variety of differet hardware providing different capabilities.

Considering you are looking for 4 cameras already make sure what ever option you choose would support atleast that number with the resolution you want to support. For example my UCG-MAX is listed as supporting the below quanity of cameras at given resolutions.

The Unifi Ui also now states it will support 5 5k cameras as well.

You could get a UNVR Instant to run protect if needed. It has the ability to provide POE to cameras but you wouldn't need it with a bunch of wifi instant cameras. It is a dedicated desktop Unifi NVR solution that runs protect. You would need to add a drive to it.

You could also do a Unifi Cloud Key+ that can provide the Protect app and storage

I think the cheapest entry with unifi would be:
Cloud Key+ at $250
4 unifi G4 Instant Instant cameras $99

What exact Arlo cameras do you have? Are they Original Pros, or Pro 2, Pro 3...... that would give an idea of resolution you are trying to replace. The G4 Instant is a 2k camera so i if memory serves me that would be the same as the Pro 3 i had a long while back. Though the Unifi cameras will look better since they dont crush the video with compression like Arlo generally does.

If you have 4k cameras currently you may find you would prefer the G6 instant as it is a 4k camera and includes better AI functions. The G6 instant cameras are 179 i believe.
