Nanoleaf Canvas

Hello,

I'm new here. I hope this is the right place to ask this. I recently got the Nanoleaf Canvas tiles. Unlike the Aurora, you can touch the tiles and they react. I was wondering if it is all possible that I could create a rule where when I touch a tile, it will cycle through a particular set of colors. I couldn't find anywhere to use the touch as a trigger, and I don't know if it is possible to address just one tile at a time.

Thanks!

Last I checked this capability was incapable of notifying the hub on its own, same issue with changing settings from their app, it does not notify anyone that something has changed.

I like these products, I have 4 installs of them, but for the love of god, in this day and age why would you provide an api that is incapable of notifying it's subscribers of state changes...

So yeah, realtime events from these are a no go unless something's changed in the last 6 months...

Bummer. Thanks Mike for the quick reply. They are super cool looking, but since they can't do what I had wanted, I'll just return them tomorrow.

I think you can configure touch actions in their app, motion on, maybe some other stuff.
You just won't get these events to hubitat.

If you're returning it because of the reasons I mentioned, make sure you tell them, maybe they'll do something about it some day...

Those are cool, but daaaaamn they're expensive.

I find the Aurora series to be a better value, more SF and Lumens per buck...
Also, all the touch business I find to be of limited value, my original thoughts of making these into security keypads were dashed due to the devices not being able to push these events...

I have to blame HE and this forum for Aurora panels. I really dig them. I'm starting to think about a way to randomize the displays.

I have that for the canvas in my office, motion active on the sensor that hovers over my mouse pad fires nextEffect..., not random, but good enough...
