I recently purchased a new Hubitat C-8 Pro and went to install it about a week ago to migrate my existing C-8 database. During setup, I discovered that the C-8 Pro is already registered to another account, which prevents me from registering it to my own.
I attempted a soft reset on the hub, but it still shows as registered to someone else.
Could support please advise on how to resolve this and release the hub so I can complete setup? Thank you.
There is a factory reset you can perform to remove any previous owner’s data. That said, I would be very interested in understanding how this situation occurred, as hubs sold as “new” should not contain any prior data.
