My nest protects expire in January, what to buy?

So I need to buy some new battery powered smoke alarms, and I’m wondering what works well with Hubitat?

Most of them seem to be Zigbee these days, which is fine.

Someone else had similar question. I'm not sure about global regions, but the thread seemed to be pointing to using listening devices instead of direct connected detectors.

There is (at least in the US) a so-called direct replacement from First Alert, I believe. Doesn't have the path light (which I love) but does fit on the existing Nest Protect mounts you have w/out modification. Also integrates w/Google Home like the Nests, and can work alongside Nest Protects. There is some noise in the reviews that's probably worth a look.

As noted by @applejosh a lot of folks like the approach of "normal" alarms w/listening devices...

I’m not bothered by losing the path light feature, although it is nice, but I would like to use a Zigbee or zwave smoke alarm without a middle man solution.

Has anyone tried the Moes or Frient smoke alarms with Hubitat?

Anyone got any experience with these or any other Zigbee smoke detectors that work with Hubitat?

I'm waiting for UniFi to release smoke detectors. Problem with he Z-Wave ones is that they only run on batteries. I need a hardwired solution.

I’m the opposite, my old house has battery only smoke detectors.
