I created a rule to turn my light on before sunset and before sunrise, then I have a wait event to turn off at 11:30pm, but also tried adding await event to turn off at sunrise. When I add a new wait event it overrides the existing. Can I not have multiples?
You would create multiple conditions in your one wait event. Something like this:
After you add the one wait event, you'll see a button that says "add another wait event". Just tap that and then you can add the other time. You can go back and edit the wait event you already have to add it in or delete it and insert a new one. Easiest would be to just start over since the rule is small.
Okay....let's go through it set by step. Add your wait event. You get this.
Now add your first event.
Click done with this wait event. Then you get this:
Click add another wait event. Then do the same thing again.
Then click done with this wait event and then done with wait events. The key is using the "Add Another Wait Event" button.
That is what I am doing.
Here is the first wait event:
Then I click "done with this..." and "add another..."
and it removes the previous one.
Update.
Looking at the properties of my rule (which was a child/clone) of another rule seemed odd. Lot's of repetitive settings. I've created a new rule from scratch and it allowed me to create with multiple events. Bug?
Click done with this wait event.
Then you will see the button for add another wait event. I suspect you are clicking Done with wait events, which is the wrong button.
No, i suspect you were clicking on the wrong button. It works fine for me editing a rule.
That is the button I was clicking on, and as soon as I did it erased the previous event. Creating a new rule works fine and I could edit it just fine too. I think my rule was somehow corrupt.
Maybe because I can go back and edit wait events...that's how I was showing you.
I appreciate your help, Thanks.
