Multiple Hubs/Multiple USB sticks/Multiple frequency ranges

Hi, there
I'm looking at hubitat as a home automation on top of already existing node-red+raspberry pi for power metering and sonoff + tasmota + mqtt already in flight

I'd like to add multiple zigbee ( Xiaomi devices ) and z-wave ( locks, etc ) by leveraging hubitat but there is a concern I have - frequency differences.
I live in Ukraine and I'd like to have a flexibility connecting to US and EU devices.

Is there any option to get access to any frequency range from hubitat?
Can I have additional USB stick(s) or I have to buy 2 hubs for US and EU to be able to cover both ranges?
Thanks in advance for your experience.

For z wave you will need 2 hubs, frequency in EU is 8xx Mhz and US is 9xx Mhz, no frequency change on the same stick, zigbee it's the same frequency. Using the c4 hub you can replace the z wave stick for different frequencies but you must use one at the time, so 2 hubs is the way, and I recommend getting your designated frequency, using US frequency could cause interference to others.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks @vjv
I don't think there will be any interference, because of the place where I live.
So there is no way to have 2 USB sticks supported from one hub via USB cable?

Nop, HE is designed to only use one radio for each, zigbee and z wave

I said it because you will be breaking the law, just have precautions.

Good luck.

The law here is not that tough and it limits the maximum power you should have, which is not an issue for the z-wave. Thanks for mentioning precautions.

So, 2 hubs then...

You didn't mention it, but using HubConnect between the two hubs might be useful... you could have US frequency events cause EU devices to do something and vise versa.
