MQTT Bridge -- ST to MQTT and Hubitat to MQTT -- View/Control from Home Assistant

I took the SmartThings MQTT bridge and tried it out with Hubitat and it works great. I only had to make very minor changes to the smart app and to the device handler.

What is this good for?

I also have Home Assistant running. So now I have ST and Hubitat reporting to my MQTT server. With that I can view/control everything from any system via my Home Assistant install.

From other perspectives Hubitat could also load the events from ST if there was an app reading from the MQTT server. Currently it’s just the two hubs pushing events and checking the events.

I have heard there’s a migration mover from ST -> Hubitat in the works (possibly similar lines). That would be great because the events and devices would all be in Hubitat and using local automations.

With my current setup I think I have the best of all worlds. I can have local automations either with HA or Hubitat and have compatibility with ALL of my things seamlessly working together.
