Moving zigbee to hue hub

So I'm moving all of my cree bulbs to hue and upgrading my lightify can lights to hue.
In theory this should solve some of my cree drop out issues. Biggest PITA is resetting the damn cree bulbs and getting hue hub to find them. I'd welcome any advice... I had hoped I could move my sylvania color can lights to the hue hub but it won't find them at all. Is this a hue 1 limitation?

It's been a long time since I've done this, but I recall needing to use the "code" method beyond just a simple reset in order to get them added. This article has something that sounds like I remember: How to add your Cree Connected bulb to a Hue hub | Android Central

Got it working, stupid cree bulbs...
For others going this route

1. to reset cree bulbs I did a 2 count on, a 3 count off 5 times and it works well to factory reset.
   When adding to the Hue hub it was critical to start searching for new bulbs (serial # not required) and when search starts go through reset process for Cree bulb as above.
   Used same method for some old GE bulbs I had. Working flawlessly and now hopefully the Cree's will stay connected and not booger up the rest of my zigbee network.

In the network's defense I do have over 90 zigbee devices...
