Motion to Hue delay

I’ve just swapped from ST to Hubitat but I get a big delay between motion detection and my Philips lamp turning on. I bought the Hubitat because I thought it would be quicker than ST.
21 second delay was the most recent.
Also response from the hub is very slow, could it be my router?

What kind of router/switch do you have? A couple brands have had issues with autonegotiation for the LAN connection on the C5's ethernet port (I think ASUS and Netgear), and in that case, Support may be able to help you with the fix for that. I think the symptoms are just LAN actions taking a long time, like loading hub admin web pages or LAN integrations like the Hue Bridge app/drivers.

If it's your entire hub, you may have something else going on. For example, are you running any custom code? Some can be poorly written and lead to hub slowdowns. (Only a few have really been known to do that, but it's worth asking if you're not sure or disabling or uninstalling such code to see if it helps.) There are lots of threads on issues likely related to hub slowdowns due to custom code. There are a few scattered mention of the other issue, but if that matches you (and it's not the whole hub) I'd reach out to Support to see if they can help.

Will eliminate the router tomorrow as I’ve had a few issues with the BT Smart Hub. Watch this space.

Once you can post pictures, can you post a screenshot of the rule you are using to turn the light on as well? Thanks!

I installed an outdoor Philips motion sensor today (paired with HE - not the Philips hub, not sure that makes a difference?).

My log file shows the following - a couple of seconds delay between sensor detection and 1st light coming on.

You cannot pair the motion sensor with Hue and have it work with Hubitat. It must be paired to your Hubitat Hub.

Yes my Aqara motion sensor is paired with my Hubitiat hub.

Well it’s been ok since I posted this so I’ll see how it goes.
