Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. Saving this rule to modify later
Nyce motion sensors are sometimes found for reduced prices on eBay. It's worth taking a look there, and they do have a nice ceiling mount motion sensor that would not seem at all like a camera as far as I can see.
They're a great product and batteries last a long time.
We have found a slightly mixed bag with guest reaction to automated lights. Vast majority fall into the "wow that's cool" group. A few have said that they like to control things themselves, so I just disabled the rules while they're visiting. I don't remove any of the hardware and that's never been an issue once I tell them it's just a motion sensor. I use a combination of the iris v2 and the Linptec mmmwave sensors.
True but check any listing carefully. They make Control4 versions of their sensors that wonβt work with Hubitat but generally look identical to the zigbee versions.
@HarleysWorld I use the NYCE sensors for the bathrooms. They're very unobtrusive and don't look like cameras.
Another option if you can find them are hinge sensors if you can get them (I have a couple)
These are the GE version
or the NYCE ones..
The question was guest bathroom, powder room. I use a presence sensor for the master bathroom which also sees through the wall to the enclosed toilet. Works perfectly. One vanity light turns on dimly at night with presence.
What?! There are door hinge sensors??!?! Haha they have a sensor for everything!
The GE ones aren't made anymore but you can find them on ebay. Same with the NYCE hinge ones on Ebay or amazon for under 25 bux
