I have noticed that the most recently defined scene fails to show up in dropdowns. I have noticed this happen in Rule Machine and Button Controller.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- Define a scene
- Go to rule machine
- Define a rule that switches on a scene
- Issue: The scene dropdown does not include the scene that was defined in step 1.
- Define another scene
- Go to rule machine
- Define a rule that switches on a scene
- The scene dropdown will now include the scene that was defined in step 1 but not the scene defined in step 5.
Anyone else seeing this? My hub is on 2.0.9.133.
Do you completely finish creating the scene before launching the other app? It grabs the list when you open the app so if the scene isn't there from the start, then it won't be on the list.
I expect the scene is completely defined. I use the same browser tab to define a scene and then proceed to define a rule or map a button.
To be specific, the scene shows up in the app overview and the device list.
I am seeing this too. Newly created scenes are not accessible from Rule 3.0. @bravenel
Not able to reproduce this. Just created a few new Scenes, and they show up in RM. However, there may be some issue between Scene and its parent app Groups and Scenes. In the app status for Groups and Scenes there is a state variable named 'registeredScenes'. Check that. I will investigate what is going on with that.
Try going back into the Scene and hit Done again.
Hit done again and now it shows up in Registered scenes. There must be something going on because I know that I hit done the first time.
Yes, there is a bug in the Scene/Groups and Scenes interaction when a Scene is first created. This will be fixed in the next release.
