Most basic Equipment Needed to Start

I went out in port and was able to access a proper LAN, frustratingly its looking like the hub I received is a dud. The router wouldn’t recognize the device and when trying to ping the hubitat it would timeout. I will persevere however, I’ve ordered a new hubitat c7 on the hopes that this was an isolated failure. Hopefully I can get a refund for the first one. Fingers crossed the new device will arrive aboard before Christmas.

There are also a lot of very skilled individuals on this forum that might be able to help with the problem you encountered - are you able to provide more details so that they may try?

I did. They send some information for resetting the hub. Unfortunately the hub isn’t being recognized by the router and not being assigned an IP address.
