More support for google home / Nest devices

Hello

May we get more support for google home / Nest devices please?
I know we have chromecast beta and google sdm but they are barely working or quite useless. I feel google integrations are quite of an orphan here . I understand if this is due to competition or financial reasons but it it would be good to know why.

I find Google keeps changing the goalposts, as well as changing the results for the same action from day to day. It must be frustrating to develop for.

Since the demise of Works with Nest program, Google has broken their universe in so many pieces that stitching it back together is lamentable even within their own platform, let alone for 3rd party providers. Hopefully Matter will fix it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
