More sensor questions! yaa!

Sorry back with more sensor questions as i go though this journey of automating my house for the first time. Two questions this time after last post you guys recommended a awesome sensor that want even on my radar.

1'st looking for a solution to automate the lights in a stairway (enclosed). Hardest part of this is that the Stairs have a 90 degree turn at the top. Tried positioning a hue motion in different parts but tends to triggers well before someone enters the stairs, and usually when someone walks by, would also like to avoid having to use 2 but dont think its going to be a possibility. I was thinking maybe put 2 cheep thirdreality sensors on both the left and right side and make it so lights dont turn on unless both sense motion, but that requires 4 total sensors and doesn't work any better than just 1 hue sensor.

2'nd is casting videos to/from my LG tv from pc/phone as well as powering the tv on/off. In the past i used chromcast to do this and it worked great, but trying to get away from google products as i cant directly integrate them into hubitat (still trying to figure out how to integrate hubitat into google.

Nyce has a motion sensor they call a curtain sensor (NCZ-3045-HA) that has a narrow beam width. It might give you another option. Expensive, good battery life, very reliable, Zigbee.
