Model c7 not found while using eero router

I have recently tried setting up a C7 model and cannot get passed finding the hub on my LAN. I have a Eero mesh system set up with a Netgear gigabit auto switch model GS108v4. I have registered with Hubitat and followed the "Registration and Setup" instructions up to the point where I'm supposed to find my Hub. I have also reserved the IP address for it using the MAC, then rebooted my network as well as power cycled my hub. I do not see the Hub on my Eero and I cannot figure out what to do next. I also have a green light on my Hub.

Check the client list on your router. Do you see the hub? Can you ping the hub at the IP address you assigned using Terminal if you're on a Mac or the Command line tool if your're using Windows?

Did you try a different Ethernet cable? Make sure you're looking at the MAC address on the bottom of the hub to reserve.

if you plugged it into an extender, the MAC address may be hidden
try to plug it into the base unit to start

The hub isn't visible on my router's client list and I have tried to ping the assigned IP address which responds with a request timeout "Host is down". I have tried a different cable from a device that was working. I have used the hub's mac address found on the bottom of the device.

I haven't tried that with the worry that I will eventually need to go back to using a switch to allow my other hardware to get an Ethernet connection. My Modem only has one port as well as the main Eero. Are you saying that I can plug it into the Eero just to get it set up then go back to the switch

Your Eero must have two ports. Plug your hub directly into the Eero and have the other port going to your internet modem.

See if you can now ping the hub. Make sure you’re not on a guest network as they can sometimes be isolated in such a way that you will not be able to reach it. Also make sure there are no features enabled with the name of something like “client isolation” or similar.

OK I figured out the issue. I basically set up my gigabit switch incorrect. I had it connected to my modem and my Eero connected to my modem through the switch. First time switch user problem

Thank you @SmartHomePrimer, @batrad for helping.
