Mode Manager not working as expected

Hi all,

I have three problems in Mode Manager.

  1. Evening Mode is being set by "Earlier of two times". It activates on BOTH times. I saw a message in the communities that it was a bug, that was supposed to be fixed in November 2018. (I'm running the latest software - always)
  2. I went away for the weekend. Mode "Away" activated when I left on Friday night, but it changed back to the scheduled mode on Sunday morning (I think). All presence sensors were away (and showing as away in dashboard). We were still away... I changed the Mode to Away again manually, by using the Dashboard.
  3. When we returned today (Monday), the presence sensors became present, but the mode stayed Away... Could it be because I haven't configured "Use time settings for return from away"?

I also have a mode "Sleep" being activated by Button and a mode "Morning" being activated by motion.

Events were as follows (sunset was at 21:59)

Based on the sunset time, I think that rule worked as it would be expected.

You need a method that deals with (summertime) sunset times later than 2000 hours.

Thank you, Eric, that's clear. Luckily it's still a few months before the sun sets before 17:00. I'll think of some other way to change the mode then...

I don't have any idea how to do it. I hope someone else can chime in. I think the issue is that we humans read the rule as if it has to be processed in logical order (Day > Evening > Night) but there is no reason it does. In fact, I think it would cause huge problems if it had to be processed in that order.
