I've been using this mode manager setup for nearly 2 years now and starting about a month ago, having very sporadic issues with not going into sleep mode, everything else related to modes work just fine
I have a virtual switch called sleep switch, it gets set to on when we tell alexa goodnight (scene), it gets turned off in the am when we tell alexa good morning (scene)
Mode Manager is setup to switch to sleep mode when the sleep switch is turned on, yet it seldom does

Issues started around the time of 2.2.8 being released. I've had other weirdness since then as well but have managed to address everything except for this one

Look at the System Events log (left hand menu). It shows all of the mode changes. Since you're using a switch, you can just test it, see what happens (if anything) in that log (have to refresh the page, not a dynamic page). It appears that it WAS in Sleep mode based on the logs you showed, but System Events is the best way to see for sure.

It was in-fact in sleep mode as I manually put it there after telling alexa goodnight. I open the browser, go to settings and mode, then update it to sleep, something I didn't have to do until recently

Good night via alexa at approx 10:32:16, sleep switch set to on
Sleep mode didn't trigger so I did it via the browser 45 seconds later

I will take a look as well. Haven't heard of any problems before with this, but, who knows...
So my issues continue
Here is an example of the sleep switch being turned on by the Good Night scene which is activated via Alexa
However the Sleep Switch event log has not been recording events since 8/21
The sleep switch is used by Mode Manager as noted before
Every morning, the sleep switch is set to off via a scene triggered via Alexa, it was never turned on or off after 8/21 until today. Good night and Good morning are used every day, w/o fail. It's how the alarm is set, mode changes and lights are turned on/off. no way we missed using it for over a week
So in short, the scene(s) ran, turned on/off the sleep switch, the sleep switch change was not recorded so mode manager didn't update the mode...
This has been going on now for several months and nothing I seem to do is fixing it. It was fine for well over a year

How can Mode Manager work if nothing causes the switch to turn on and off? This doesn't really have anything to do with Mode Manager, but with whatever is supposed to turn the switch on/off.
You haven't shown any of that, beyond saying that Alexa does it. Evidently Alexa is not doing it. Look there for your answer.

I use 2 HE scenes, one for good morning and 1 for good night that turns the sleep switch on/off. The issue was the Good Morning Scene was restricted to sleep and morning modes so if activated while in home mode, it did nothing
So long story short, I was me.... again
