My mobile app dashboard does not refresh properly. If the dashboard is open on my phone, and a contact sensor, for example, changes from open to closed, it is not reflected on my dashboard. Now if I click on settings in the app, and then click back on dashboard, it is updated.
I have iOS 12.3.1, iPhone XR.
Yes, unfortunately iOS kills background javascript from running. If you have the app in the background, a refresh on bringing the app forward is required.
We are looking at ways to resolve this, but for now it is recommended to refresh the dashboard to get latest state and restore connection to the hub.
What does the red exclamation point/green check mark mean?
Means that a poll or socket connection failed. Depending on if its local or cloud dashboard.
Itβs not refreshing even when the app is in the front.
When I click on the mode tile and make a change, the change is not reflected on the tile. But if I force a refresh by going to settings and back, then the mode tile is updated.
Does the change actually get sent to the hub? And is this a local or cloud dashboard?
Yes, the hub is receiving the changes. And sometimes the dashboard is updated, but other times not.
Is it a local dashboard automatically if I'm on my home network? If so, it is a local dashboard. I haven't tested cloud yet.
