Hello

I read a few topics regarding the Mobile App Device, but still having issue with our phone, we have 3 iphone and 1 android phone but even if we leave the house or get back to the house the Hub don't see them in and out. did someone have the same issue and fix it?

Some common causes include:

  • Battery Optimisation and other settings on the phone stopping the Hubitat Mobile App from running in the background or accessing the GPS / location services
  • Not being logged onto the HE hub in the Hubitat Mobile App, or not being logged on with the right mobile device selected

Some troubleshooting steps to try and things to check:

  • Make sure any Battery Optimisation and Location Services settings associated with the Hubitat mobile App on your phone are set appropriately
  • Make sure you have the mobile app open when you come and go from the house. I'm not suggesting this is required to be done all the time, just while trying to diagnose this issue
  • In the Hubitat Mobile App, open the Settings tab
    • Make sure you are logged into the HE hub (check the "Hub" entry towards the top of the screen).
    • Check the Device Name entry is the same device you are using in any automations setup on the HE hub
    • Check that Enable GeoFence is turned on
    • Try sending a GeoFence Event from the Settings page
  • Open the GeoFence tab in the mobile app to make sure you have it configured correctly
  • Do a general check of the Logs page on your HE hub. You may want to enable debug logging for the mobile device on the HE hub while testing moving in and out of the GeoFence area
  • Check the automations you have configured, are they using the mobile device you are using in the App
  • Check the Events page for the mobile device on the HE hub, do you see Events indicating changes in presence?

i'll try the parameters you suggested but still not working.
you can see here the information of the event m the system saw me out of the geofence but still be green like if i'm still at home.

A little follow up on this situation.
So i remove the application in my phone, remove my phone into the hub. Start as new give the autorisation for the position of me phone (always).
Re do all the setup in the hub make a basic rule to be able to verify if it s working.
It's working again, no needs to let the apps open.
