mmWave Tuya ZG-204ZM Compatibility with Hubitat?

Good afternoon,

I’m curious if anyone is using these sensors—the Zigbee Battery Powered Presence Sensor, model ZG-204ZM.
I’m looking for a battery-powered version since I don’t have the option for a wired power connection, and this mmWave sensor seems like a good choice.

However, I’m wondering if the correct drivers are available for Hubitat to ensure proper functionality.

Thanks in advance for any information!

Model: Tuya ZG-204ZM

Hi Andre,

Searching this forum for "ZG-204ZM" shows that this device is natively supported in Hubitat :

A more precise searching for " _TZE200_2aaelwxk" shows more info :

The problem with this and other Tuya-based devices is that you never know what exactly you will receive if you order one similarly looking device at this moment. For the combined PIR+mMWave battery-powered sensor there are at least two different modifications that look exactly the same - this first one is working very well in my opinion, while the second variant was reported to have problems. But again, there is no way to know what you will receive.

For now, I have given up trying to support more Tuya mmWave sensors - a month ago I put [FINAL] tag and removed all the links to the sellers in the Tuya mmWave driver thread top post.

My advice for anyone using a lot of Tuya Zigbe devices now is to invest in a Tuya Matter Gateway hub (they are sold everywhere, typically less than $50) and bring the problematic Tuya devices to HE via the HE inbuilt Generic Matter Bridge. Not all Tuya devices are exported this way, but the number is growing and there should be more in the future.
